Andy is the founder or co-founder of three successful communications and interactive companies: Context Creative, Fireworks Creative and Red Line Design. In these capacities he has served some of Canada’s leading corporations, government ministries and not-for-profit organizations.
At Context Creative, Andy and his teams work with a diverse group of clients on projects that most often relate to strategies for the effective integration and implementation of social media, the web and traditional print and broadcast media.
As someone who has always been slightly ahead of the curve in the use of technology for communications, Andy works with clients to help them understand and make sense of the ongoing media evolution and find useful applications to meet their business goals.
While Andy can be as enamored as a teenager with the newest digital toy on the horizon, and will likely be evaluating it for his personal use, he is very pragmatic in his counsel to clients. In his view, there should be less focus on the technology, and much more on using it to forge emotional connections with specific audiences.
Andy’s clients, present and past, include Toronto Hydro, Hydro One, Bruce Power, Enbridge Gas Distribution, Echo: Improving Women’s Health in Ontario, Canada Health Infoway, Equity Financial Trust, The Canadian Centre for Ethics and Corporate Policy, The Ontario Trails Council, The IdeaCity Conference and the Ontario Ministry of the Environment.
His entrepreneurial career is based on solid advertising and marketing experience as an award-winning creative director and writer for national and multi-national advertising agencies working across all media.
In addition to his work at Context Creative, Andy is President of the Board of Directors at Volunteer Toronto, an organization that connects volunteers to volunteer opportunities across our city. He also fundraises for medical research by cajoling friends and colleagues into sponsoring his crazy long bike rides.
